“The Language of Flowers” by Diffenbaugh Mini Review

A unique read given the curious pairing of a foster care experience with floral meanings.  The author’s engaging writing style zips the reader through this fictional tale of broken lives, fear of commitment, and the will to persevere.  The last sentence in the novel’s Acknowledgments section will leave the reader curious to know even more about the author:  “Finally, I would like to thank my children, for teaching me to be a mother and loving me through my  mistakes:  Tre’von, Chela, Miles, Donavan, Sharon, Krystal, Wayneshia, Inifinity, and Hope.  And Megan, wherever you are. “
